Welcome to our beautiful Award-winning Garden

Kingsbridge Open Gardens - a very successful fund-raiser!

Once again the garden hosted this event which raises much needed funds for St Luke's Hospice and the Garden, and we are delighted to report that it made £2200 this year, but more than that, it provided the chance to explore gardens all round Kingsbridge, bringing in people from as far afield as the Lizard and Stoke-on-Trent!

There were more than 20 private gardens on show, plus several which have won awards through Kingsbridge in Bloom.

Special attractions included the miniature railway at the Kiln on the Quay, a new Allotment Society with a hedgehog nest and babies and the opportunity to learn more about Hedgehog Street! And of course our very own Community Garden, where the sweet peas are just coming into bloom and the first strawberries are peeping through.

After the event it was back to normal in the garden, with all the seasonal tasks to be done.  So if you have any time to spare and would like to find out more about volunteering, come along on a Friday morning.  It's not just gardening – it's a way of life!
