Kingsbridge Community Garden

Welcome To The Kingsbridge Community Garden
Introducing the Project

Attractive Willow ArchThe Kingsbridge Community Garden Project was started in 1995, when just under an acre of land behind the adult education section of Kingsbridge Community College on Fore Street was identified as a possible community Garden. Since then, volunteers have been working in the garden and on the management committee to try to make a dream come true. What you see now is the end result - what had been overgrown jungle is now a working organic garden with many interesting features.

Our Aims are:

  1. To be a demonstration organic garden
  2. To offer an attractive venue for visitors to see
  3. To involve and empower our volunteers

We operate within strict ethical guidelines. We follow the Soil Association's advice on the control of pests and diseases and attempt to work in harmony with nature at all times.

The Garden is open from 8.30am until 5.00pm on weekdays and by appointment at weekends. We also have Open Days and Plant Sales.
